Meet our founder

At 15 years old, Danielle Johnson was an honor roll student, active in multiple extracurricular activities, and working full-time. She was also an expectant mother. As her pregnancy became visible, she noticed a shift in how others perceived her — some teachers no longer treated her as the promising student she had been, while others regarded her as a bad influence. Almost overnight, she went from being seen as a girl with a bright future to being judged as a disappointment.

Rather than allow their perceptions to define her, Danielle utilized their views as motivation. Danielle refused to allow her or her daughter to be counted out. Danielle was fortunate to have a praying grandmother, a determined mother, and a steadfast support system behind her. Danielle’s determination and support system allowed her to prove her adversaries wrong.

Danielle went on to graduate from high school with honors, obtained her degree, and established a successful career. Her daughter became the first in the family to receive her master’s.

That journey became the foundation for DREAMM INC., where Danielle aims to inspire and uplift young mothers who, like her, have faced judgment and diminished expectations after becoming parents. The organization’s name reflects the values that carried Danielle through her own journey — and that she now instills in the mothers and expecting mothers that DREAMM INC. serves:

Today, Danielle leads DREAMM INC. with the same conviction that carried her through her own journey — proving that motherhood and ambition are not mutually exclusive, and that every young mother deserves the belief, resources, and support to build the future she envisions for herself and her child.
